may 24 Second baseman Joe Morgan touched them all as the Cincinnati Reds outscored the Los Angeles Dodgers in 10 innings 3 to 2. Both teams were tied at 2 runs apiece after nine innings. Cincinnati ended up winning it in the 10th inning. After an out was recorded, Morgan lofted a solo-blast 'downtown' (his 10th of the season) making Cincinnati the victor and beginning a joyous home town celebration. Cincinnati finished with 9 hits in the victory. The win was credited to Rawly Eastwick(4-3) who went 1 and 1/3 innings allowing no runs. Marty Pattin(2-2) was charged with the loss in relief.
