Game 1 Second baseman Dave Cash had 2 base hits at Fulton Cnty. Stadium as the Atlanta Braves beat the Montreal Expos 6 to 2.
Atlanta drew first blood jumping out to an early lead in the first inning scoring 3 runners on 5 hits. That was all Gary Ross (8-5) needed. Atlanta out-hit Montreal for the game, 12 hits to 7.
Woodie Fryman (6-9) took the loss. He was knocked around by Atlanta , allowing 10 hits and 2 walks in 5 innings. Atlanta now has a record of 47-45. With the loss, the Montreal ballclub's record is 39-53.
Game 2 Willie Montanez had 4 hits and 3 RBI as the Atlanta Braves staged a dramatic comeback over the Montreal Expos in 10 innings by a score of 6 to 5 at Fulton Cnty. Stadium.
The score was knotted at 4 after nine innings. Atlanta came out on top in the 10th inning. Rod Gilbreath led off the inning for Atlanta when he lined a single. Vic Correll came next and he ripped a base-knock. After an out was recorded, Jerry Royster came up and he smacked a single which scored a run. Rusty Staub stepped in and he laced a one-base hit to load the bases. One out later, Montanez stepped up to the plate and he laced a base-hit resulting in an exciting win for Atlanta and a wild post-game celebration by the home town fans. Atlanta lit up the scoreboard in the 7th inning with 2 runs on 4 hits and the 10th inning with 2 runs on 5 hits. Atlanta finished with 20 hits while Montreal ended up with 11.
Mike Marshall (5-5) allowed 1 run in 1 inning, and picked up the victory. The loss was charged to Dale Murray (2-3) in relief.
Game 3 Del Unser had 2 base hits and 2 RBI as the Montreal Expos defeated the Atlanta Braves by a score of 4 to 1 at Fulton Cnty. Stadium.

The game started off with Montreal taking the lead in the first as they scored 2 runs on 3 base hits. That was all Tanana (11-6) needed. Montreal finished with 13 hits in the victory.
