You may have to "register" with Stats (it's free)
Once registered you click on the SOM Interactive Icon and download the
"enabler"
Some people have difficulty in the download - I did not

The ON-Line Game . . .[NL]If you have already purchased 'Version 5.0 of the
Strat-O-Matic Baseball game', then you are well on your way to playing 'SOM
Interactive'. All you need to do now is DOWNLOAD and INSTALL the 'On-Line'
enabler, and click on 'Play a Pick-Up Game' (both of these links can be
found on the navigation bar on the left hand side of the screen). Its that
easy!!! And, As of right now, the use of the STATS, Inc. website for hosting
the online games is absolutely free! Can you believe it! [NL][NL]**Please
note**: It is imperative that you read the 'How to Play . . .' section (on
the navigation bar on the left hand side of the screen). There are slight
differences between the online game and the pc version, and in order for you
to have a good online experience, it would be in your best interest to take
the time to read over these instructions. [PARA]A word of caution . .
.[NL]Please be aware that the version of the online game you will be
downloading is a 'beta' test version. This means that the game is functional
but not all of the bugs have been worked out of the program. Please report
any game bugs, game failures, or opinions about the game by sending an email
to support@... in the following format: [PARA]o service provider
(dial-up, DSL, cable modem, AOL, etc.). [PARA]o connection speed (28K, 56K,
etc.) [PARA]o web browser and version (Netscape or MS Internet Explorer,
these are the 2 recommended browsers). [PARA]o operating system (Win
95,98,NT, etc.). [PARA]o list of events leading up to the bug. [PARA]o if
program crashes, please click on the 'details' button, copy all of the
details and paste into the e-mail. This can be done easily by using your
mouse to highlight all of the text then using the Ctrl-C keyboard command to
copy the text to the clipboard. After that you should be able to paste the
text into your e-mail. [PARA]o if you experience any bug, please send the
pickup.sav file as an attachment to this email (the pickup.sav file should
be sitting in the directory where Strat-O-Matic was installed). [PARA]In
addition, please understand that this is an internet game, so the response
time to some of the actions that are made will not appear as quickly as you
are accustomed to seeing with the pc version. [PARA]Pick up games . .
.[NL]At this time, 'Pick Up' games are the only way for you to play an
opponent over the internet (see the 'How to Play . . .' link on the
navigation bar). The 'pick up game' can be used to play league games or
games against random avid Strat-O-Matic players. For those that are
currently in a league where there is a mix of PC players, Mac players, and
board game players, the 'pick up' game can be used by the PC players to play
league games. In this case, the league commissioner/statistician will still
have to compile the league statistics the old fashioned way.

game, please back up your files just in case anything should go wrong. At
