april 21 Davey Lopes had 4 hits and Burt Hooton delivered 7 solid innings as the Los Angeles Dodgers staged a dramatic comeback over the Atlanta Braves by a score of 3 to 2 at Fulton Co. Stadium. Los Angeles had the game winning rally in the top of the 9th inning scoring 2 runs using 2 hits. Lopes opened up the inning nicely when he lined a single. Lopes was safe at second on a stolen base. Roger Metzger then laid down a sacrifice bunt. Terry Puhl came up and he drew a walk. Ron Cey came to the plate and would ground out resulting in a run. Dusty Baker added to the uprising and drew a walk. Chet Lemon came next and he lined a base-hit scoring the final run of the inning. Overall Los Angeles out-hit Atlanta 9 to 4. The win was credited to Mike Garman(1-0) who went 1 and 1/3 innings allowing 1 run. Rawly Eastwick recorded his 3rd save. Randy Lerch(1-1) was the loser.
