The game was won by Pittsburgh with a run in the 8th inning. Stargell doubled. Rennie Stennett got his chance to keep things going, but he went down on strikes. After another out, Ed Ott came up and he slapped a single scoring the run. Pittsburgh out-hit Cincinnati for the game, 13 hits to 8.
