Manny Sanguillen followed and he lashed a single. Foli then hit a sacrifice fly scoring a run. Dave Kingman stepped in and he laced a one-base hit. Lee Lacy came to the plate and lined a single scoring the final run of the inning. Due to a poorly pitched ballgame, scoring in 5 different innings was still not enough for San Francisco to come away with the victory. Mike Paxton(4-3) went 1 inning allowing 1 run for the victory.
