august 20 Dodgers win on a shutout by Don Sutton 3-0 august 21 Tim Foli hit 2 doubles as the Los Angeles Dodgers staged a dramatic comeback over the pathetic Atlanta Braves by a score of 5 to 3 at Fulton Co. Stadium. Los Angeles won the game with a run in the top of the 8th inning. Chet Lemon smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly' (his 13th of the season). Los Angeles rapped out 10 hits for the night. Tommy John(8-9) got credit for the victory, pitching 7 innings and allowing 1 run. John got help from Rawly Eastwick who earned his 15th save. Preston Hanna(0-1) was the losing pitcher.
