may 15 Ron Cey jacked one out of the ballyard and had 2 RBI as the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Pittsburgh Pirates by a score of 5 to 4. Los Angeles jumped on top to stay in the top of the 3rd inning scoring 2 runners on 2 hits. The highlight belonged to Cey who disappointed the partisan crowd when he cracked a two-run shot (his 7th of the season). Pittsburgh had a chance to come back in the 9th but they came up short. Jim Colborn(3-4) got credit for the victory, pitching 5 innings and allowing 2 runs. Terry Forster recorded his 8th save. The loss was charged to Don Robinson(5-5). Pittsburgh tallied 2 runs in the 2nd inning. That scoring would be all that was needed. Los Angeles threatened in the 9th but Pittsburgh was able to put down the rally. Rooker got help from Kent Tekulve who earned his 12th save. When questioned, Darren Dawson remarked, 'It's been a while since a win felt this good - heck, it's been a while since we had a win period!'
