Los Angeles erupted with the game winning runs in the top of the 8th inning with 2 runs using 2 hits. Ken Henderson led off and started the rally when he reached on an error. Rafael Landestoy next to the plate and he laid down a sacrifice bunt. Larry Cox then slapped a single. A balk was called knocking in a run. One out later, Terry Puhl stepped up to the plate and he slapped a one-base hit scoring the final run of the inning. A wild and woolly affair, this game saw the lead change 5 times. Joe Coleman(5-2) went 1 inning allowing no runs for the victory. Terry Forster earned the save, his 13th. Donnie Moore(1-1) was tagged with the loss in relief. He was the victim of a defensive lapse and did not allow an earned run in the game.
