Jim Nash came through with a solid 7 innings and left fielder Leon Wagner had
2 base hits and 3 RBI at Municipal Stadium as the Kansas City A's beat the
New York AL Yankees 8 to 2.
 
Kansas City drew first blood jumping out to an early lead in the first inning
as they scored 2 runs on 3 base hits.  Overall Kansas City out-hit New York
AL 11 to 4. 
 
The win was credited to Nash(2-3) who went 7 innings allowing 1 run. Jim
Bouton(1-2) took the loss.  He was touched for 8 hits and 2 walks in 4 and
1/3 innings.

Mike McCormick delivered 6 solid innings as the Kansas City A's defeated the
New York AL Yankees in 10 innings by the score of 1 to 0 at Municipal
Stadium.
 
Neither team managed to score in the first nine innings.  Kansas City ended up
winning it in the 10th inning.  Jim Gosger doubled.  Dick Green followed and
he was walked intentionally.  Tim Talton then smacked a single making Kansas
City the winners and sending the 25,968 fans home happy.  Kansas City had
only 6 hits for the game. 
 
Minnie Rojas(2-2) got the win allowing no runs in 4 innings. Hal Reniff(2-1)
was tagged with the loss in relief.  He was unable to retire a batter and
surrendered 2 hits and 1 walk.

Dick Green had 2 base hits as the seemingly unstoppable Kansas City A's topped
the New York AL Yankees by a score of 5 to 2 at Municipal Stadium.
 
New York AL was unable to claim the lead after Kansas City went ahead in the
bottom of the 4th inning as they scored 2 runs on 2 base hits.  Jack Aker
pitched a perfect ninth and was credited with his 3rd save. 
 
The winning pitcher was Lew Krausse(6-1) who allowed 2 runs in 7 innings.
Fritz Peterson(3-4) was tagged with the loss.  He gave up 9 hits and 2 walks
in 7 innings. 
 
Kansas City extended their winning streak to 7 games. 'We're on quite a roll
lately' said Kansas City's manager.  'I just hope we can keep it going.'
