Subject: results of Los Angeles @ San Diego

APRIL 16

The San Diego Padres toppled the Los Angeles Dodgers by a 5 to 1 score at San
Diego Stadium.

San Diego took the lead for good in the bottom of the 7th inning when they
tallied 2 runs on 2 hits.  The big moment was provided by Gene Tenace who
made the home-town crowd a happy bunch when he cleared the fences for a
two-run home run (his 2nd of the season).  Rich Gossage was perfect in relief
and gained credit for his 3rd save.

The victory was credited to Bob Owchinko(1-1) who went 7 innings, allowing 1
run. Don Sutton(0-4) was the loser.  He gave up only 5 hits and no walks in 7
innings.
