Manny Trillo had 2 base hits at Olympic Stadium as the Montreal Expos beat the
Los Angeles Dodgers 3 to 2.
 
Montreal took the lead for good in the bottom of the 6th inning scoring one
runner utilizing 2 base hits.  Los Angeles proved to be no trouble in the
9th. 
 
The win was credited to Steve Rogers(10-4) who went 6 and 1/3 innings allowing
2 runs. Elias Sosa earned the save, his 18th.  Tom Griffin(2-5) was given the
loss in relief.

In a dramatic ending at Olympic Stadium the Montreal Expos won in their last
at-bat beating the Los Angeles Dodgers by the count of 2 to 1.
 
The deciding run was scored by Montreal in the 9th.  Andre Dawson delivered a
solo blast (his 14th of the season) giving Montreal the win much to the
delight of the home town crowd.  Overall Montreal out-hit Los Angeles 8 to 5.
 
The win went to Sid Monge(2-6) who allowed no runs in 2 innings. Burt
Hooton(7-3) took the loss.  He gave up 2 runs and 8 hits in 8 innings.
 
With this win, Montreal has a 49-44 record.  They have been 3-7 lately. With
the loss Los Angeles now has a record of 49-44.
