JULY 5 Manny Trillo had 2 base hits at Olympic Stadium as the Montreal Expos beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 3 to 2. Montreal took the lead for good in the bottom of the 6th inning scoring one runner utilizing 2 base hits. Los Angeles proved to be no trouble in the 9th. The win was credited to Steve Rogers(10-4) who went 6 and 1/3 innings allowing 2 runs. Elias Sosa earned the save, his 18th. Tom Griffin(2-5) was given the loss in relief.
