Subject: refresher on file-handling, boxscores, etc.
From the Constitution: - Make sure to always download and restore the most recent files (posted on Sunday mornings) every week before playing your road series.
- Never UNcheck the "Show Board Game Information" or "Save PBP To File" boxes under Game Preferences.
- Give the home team 5 days of rest prior to game one of every road series.
- Since we use "Draft League Mode No Rest", be sure to create 4 lineups in your Computer Manager. Lineup 3 is used against "backwards" lefties, and Lineup 4 is used against "backwards" righties.
- Never use "Undo Last Play" during a game unless an honest mistake has occurred. Because honest mistakes do sometimes occur, we do not use the Lock League function.
- After each road game, select "Save Boxscore", then select "Boxscore, PAC & Scoresheet" from the dropdown box and save the boxscore.
- After each road series, zip all necessary files (game files, complete boxscores, PBP files) and post the results to the league mailing list and cc: me on the posting. A series can not be imported if any required files are missing or invalid.
Also, remember that we measure usage by PA for batters (NOT by AB) and we use both IP and GS for pitchers. Alan |
