april 28 Charlie Moore hit 2 doubles and had 2 RBI as the St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers by the score of 4 to 2 at Busch Stadium. Bob Forsch(2-2) pitched well enough to earn the win. He allowed 10 hits and 1 walk in 6 and 1/3 innings and was touched for 2 homeruns. St. Louis had 12 hits for the night. Roy Thomas recorded his 1st save. The loss was charged to Burt Hooton(1-3). He allowed 12 hits and 2 walks in 6 and 1/3 innings. 'It wasn't my best outing, but I'll take the win' Forsch said.
