The White Sox travel to the Bronx and sweep the Yankees.  Luckily for Chicago the Yankees only had one Joe Pepitone who went 6 for 12 with 2 doubles and 3 home runs.
 
CM not included as I am waiting for a free agent acquisition.

The Chicago AL White Sox toppled the New York AL Yankees by a 7 to 3 score at
Yankee Stadium.
 
In the 5th inning Chicago AL went on top for good with 2 runs using 3 hits.
Tommie Agee began things off when he delivered a solo blast (his 11th of the
season).  Joe Morgan was the next batter, but he struck out.  Rick Reichardt
then cracked a solo homerun (his 13th of the season).  Chicago AL managed 11
in their victory. 
 
Bruce Howard(10-4) got the win allowing 3 runs in 5 innings. Bob Locker gained
credit for his 9th save.  Sam McDowell(5-6) was hit with the loss.  He was
touched for 3 homeruns in his 6 and 2/3 innings of work.

The spectacular Chicago AL White Sox nipped the slumping New York AL Yankees 4
to 3 at Yankee Stadium in a hard fought contest.
 
Tommy John(10-10) pitched a solid game.  He went 6 and 2/3 innings allowing 5
hits and 2 walks.  John recorded 7 strikeouts.  Chicago AL banged out 10 on
the afternoon. 
 
Hoyt Wilhelm recorded his 25th save.  The loss was charged to Fred
Talbot(4-14).  The Chicago AL ballclub's record now stands at a division
leading 73-47.  Not able to get much going in recent weeks, New York AL is
2-8 of late and now has an overall record of 46-70.
