JUNE 5 At Fulton Co. Stadium the Atlanta Braves outscored the Los Angeles Dodgers 4 to 1. Joe Niekro(7-5) delivered a fine performance for Atlanta. He went 8 and 1/3 innings allowing 9 hits and 2 walks. Los Angeles had a chance to come back in the 9th but they came up short. Rick Camp recorded his 15th save. Don Sutton(5-6) ended up with the loss. He surrendered 3 runs and 5 hits in 6 innings. 'Just one or two mistakes were all it took to beat us tonight' Billy Vanson said. 'We take these games one day at a time, but this one was hard to take.'
