JULY 3 Frank Pastore allowed just 2 hits at Riverfront Stadium as the Cincinnati Reds beat the reeling Los Angeles Dodgers by the count of 2 to 1. Pastore(7-4) was indeed brilliant as he hand-cuffed the Los Angeles offense. He didn't allow much, just 2 hits and 1 walk in 9 innings seeing his ERA drop from 3.72 to 3.50. The pitchers took over after the 2nd inning as neither team was able to score again. The losing pitcher was Dave Frost(1-2). He surrendered 2 runs and 5 hits in 5 innings.
