Subject: *** RESULTS *** NLCS Los Angeles vs Montreal

October 10

After losing game 2 by a 1-0 extra inning affair, the Expos & Dodgers locked horns, and AGAIN went to extra innings. Wouldn't have happened is Steve Howe didn't allow a 2 OUT triple to Luis Aguayo(are you kidding me????????).

In the bottom of the 11th, Mike Schmidt didn't hear his hometown faithful, and booted a Chester Lemon grounder. Following a single putting runners at the corners, Ramon Aviles(Ala Aguayo) smoked one into left plating Lemon with the game winner.

Joe Beckwith was spectacular allowing 2 hits in his 2 innings fanning 3. Montreal left 13 men on base, while the Dodgers left 10.

OCTOBER 11

Of all people you never wanted to lose a game to, well, father of our country Steve Garvey is that guy. In a 1-1 game entering the bottom of the 8th, Terry Puhl had himself a leadoff double. He was sacrificed to third, and up stepped the NON Magnum Man Garvey. He laced a ball up the middle with the eventual game winner. The Penguin hit a 2 run bomb to put the game out of reach, and even this series at 2.

Both benches emptied, when Chet Lemon was plunked with a pitch following the Cey blast. Luckily noone was tossed, but Dave Palmer is doing his "george frazier" as he lost his 2nd consecutive game.

Beckwith picked up his 2nd win of the series, once again fanning 3 guys in his 2 innings.

OCTOBER 12

After yesterday, the Dodgers are FIRED UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jerry Reuss picked up where he left his last start, allowing solo homers in the first 2 innings. But he was able to right this ship, and those were the only 2 runs he allowed in his 8 innings, and he helped propel the Dodgers to a 3 games to 2 lead in the NLCS.

Rick Burleson had himself 2 hits and 2 runs scored, and he is hitting .500 for the series. Chet Lemon was 3-4 with 2 RBI's.

Somehow, the Dodgers have gotten the breaks, and go north hoping to squeeze out just 1 win to advance to the World Series.
