august 15 In a two run game the Boston Red Sox got by the woeful New York AL Yankees by the score of 4 to 2. Boston jumped on top to stay in the bottom of the 7th inning scoring a single run utilizing 2 base hits. Boston rapped out 10 hits for the night. The win went to Dave Giusti(11-8) who allowed 2 runs in 7 innings. Bob Lee earned his 4th save. Al Downing(6-15) took the loss. He pitched 7 innings allowing 8 hits and 2 walks.
