august 10 Center fielder Chet Lemon had 2 base hits as the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the St. Louis Cardinals 5 to 0 at BUSCH STADIUM. Los Angeles jumped on top to stay in the top of the 3rd inning scoring one runner using 2 hits. That was all the offense they were to need. Los Angeles had just 6 hits for the night.
