sept 5 At Comiskey Park the impressive Chicago AL White Sox easily handled the pathetic New York AL Yankees by the score of 6 to 2. Tommie Agee had a big evening at the plate. He singled scoring a run in the 3rd inning, stroked a one-base hit which plated a run in the 5th inning and bombed a two-run dinger (his 16th of the season) in the 7th inning. Chicago AL had 10 hits overall, while New York AL had 5. Bruce Howard(12-4) got the win allowing 2 runs in 6 innings. Fred Talbot(4-20) took the loss. He surrendered 3 runs and 5 hits in 5 innings.
