Chicago players paying a little more attention to their Series shares than the ball games. So, of course the first two games went extra innings. Dick Farrell gives up 6 homers in Game 4 - must be a record! Jason - Battey is down to 3 PA. I held him out of game 4. The game was deadlocked at 7 after nine full innings. Finally, Minnesota pulled the game out in the 16th inning. After an out was recorded, Earl Battey doubled. Ed Charles next to the plate and he doubled giving Minnesota the victory and sending the 13,342 home-town fans home happy.
