May 24 The Atlanta Braves edged the Los Angeles Dodgers at Fulton Co. Stadium by the score of 3 to 2. Atlanta came up with all the runs they needed in the 4th inning when they scored 3 runs on 2 hits. The key at-bat was by Bob Horner who thrilled the crowd when he belted a three-run homer (his 10th of the season). The pitchers took over after the 4th inning as neither team was able to score again. John Denny(3-4) got credit for the victory, pitching 7 and 1/3 innings and allowing 2 runs. Steve Bedrosian earned the save, his 14th. Jerry Reuss(4-6) was tagged with the loss.
