The San Francisco Giants defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers by a score of 4 to 1
at Candlestick Park.

In the bottom of the 6th inning San Francisco went on top for good scoring 2

Francisco fans a happy lot when he popped a two-run clout over the fence (his
7th of the season).  Both teams ended up with 5 on the night.

Doc Medich(1-4) went 7 innings allowing 1 run for the victory. Greg Minton was

Dusty Baker lofted one into the 'cheap seats' and had 2 RBI as the Los Angeles
Dodgers beat the San Francisco Giants by a score of 10 to 1.

San Francisco was unable to claim the lead after Los Angeles went ahead in the
2nd inning scoring a single run.  Steve Sax drew a walk.  Sax took off for
second and slid in with a stolen base.  Mike Krukow then threw a wild pitch.
Steve Garvey came up and he would ground out scoring the run.  Los Angeles
kept the pressure on throughout the contest as they scored in 6 different
innings.

Burt Hooton(3-0) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 6 innings. Hooton
got help from Doug Corbett who was credited with his 1st save.  Krukow(2-7)
took the loss.
