Good Morning:
My name is steve Thompson. I run 2 retro leagues, one from the 20's
the other from the 50's. The leagues are unique I think. There are 6
managers (out of the 8 actual MLB) and each manager owes an AL team &
an NL team. The leagues are kept separate with the AL league only
drafting players from the real AL & playing the other AL teams &
likewise the NL. At the end of the season the two pennant winners
then play in the World Series. The leagues are slow paced, One MLB
season per calender year. The season divided into real weeks - Each
week you play one 2 game series with both teams with results due on
Sunday. On Monday then I send out the complete updated league files
for the next week. The season takes 36 weeks to play then we rest for
about 3 months before starting the next. We just finished the 1921
season & one of my managers has elected not to return. I'm wondering
if you would be interested? We will start our draft in early March.
The league is based upon 3 year player contacts so its easy to turn
your team around in a short time. Let me know if you have any
interest. I'd love to discuss it with you & I can send you the rules,
rosters, etc. for you to better understand the league.
