Bobby Brown left the yard and had 3 RBI as the San Diego Padres outscored the
Los Angeles Dodgers 6 to 1.

Los Angeles was unable to recover after San Diego went ahead in the bottom of
the 4th inning with 3 runs on 3 hits.  Alan Wiggins led off and started the
rally when he delivered a one-base hit.  Johnnie Lemaster came next and he
doubled.  Sixto Lezcano then drew a walk to load the bases.  Terry Kennedy
came up and he grounded into a double play.  Brown stepped into the box and
lost the ball over the fence for three runs (his 2nd of the season).  San
Diego ended up with 10 hits for the game while Los Angeles had 4.

Eric Show(2-0) went 7 innings allowing no runs for the win. Fernando
Valenzuela(1-2) absorbed the loss.  He allowed 9 hits and 4 walks in 7
innings.

Graig Nettles homered and had 3 RBI at San Diego Stadium as the SanDiego
Padres beat the Los Angeles Dodgers by the count of 8 to 3.

Los Angeles was unable to claim the lead after San Diego went ahead in the 4th
inning plating an isolated run.  After two outs Nettles smashed a bases-empty
'big-fly' (his 5th of the season).  San Diego had 8 hits for the afternoon.

Neal Heaton(1-1) allowed 3 runs in 8 and 1/3 innings, and picked up the
victory. The losing pitcher was Mike Torrez(1-1).  He gave up 8 runs in 6
innings of work.
