If you have a starting pitcher slotted to start in your pitching schedule (in your computer manager) then he will start that game REGARDLESS if he is active or not. It is not enough to deselect the pitcher from the promote/demote screen. You must also remove them from the pitching schedule in your computer manager. Steve B. There is a league setting under 'Options/Lineups and Usage' called 'Minor Leaguers - Eligible' that is on. I am pretty sure that is what is causing this.
