may 4 At Comiskey Park, the Chicago AL fans witnessed a great pitcher's duel. Turk Farrell(3-2) finally bested his New York AL opposite, Whitey Ford(1-6), by the score of 2 to 0. In the bottom of the 7th inning Chicago AL scored 2 runs. Cap Peterson led off and started the attack as he laced a base-knock. After an out was recorded, Ken Berry stepped in and he doubled which scored a run. Farrell then worked the squeeze play to perfection scoring the final run of the inning. Farrell got help from Hoyt Wilhelm who pitched great and earned his 5th save. Ford was given the loss. With this win, Chicago AL has a 16-13 record. They have been 4-6 lately. With this loss, New York AL has a 3-7 record of late, 10-19, worst in the division overall.
