by the score of 2 to 0.
Pittsburgh claimed the early lead in the first inning plating an isolated run
using 2 hits.  That was all the offense they were to need.  Pittsburgh had
just 6 hits for the afternoon.
Tunnell got help from Bruce Sutter who was credited with his 7th save.  Darwin
took the loss.  He was stingy with the baserunners, allowing just 4 hits and
no walks in 7 innings.
Pittsburgh now has a record of 15-24.  The loss by Los Angeles interrupted a
nice 8-2 recent run.
