The White Sox let two winnable games slip away. Don Buford and Floyd Robinson each homered in Game 1 to provide most of the offense in a 6-4 win. Ray Herbert was left in too long and the ChiSox had 2 runners gunned down at home in Game 2's 5-3 loss Bruce Howard shut down the Bosox on 2 hits and doubled himself in the 6-0 Game 3 whitewashing.
