may 26 Tom Tresh ripped 2 homeruns and scored 3 times as the New York AL Yankees topped the Cincinnati Reds by a score of 11 to 3 at Crosley Field. Tresh enjoyed a big evening at the plate. He ripping a solo home run in the 1st inning and lofted a solo-blast 'downtown' (his 4th of the season) in the 9th inning. New York AL rapped out 9 hits for the night. Al Downing(3-6) was the winner allowing 3 runs in 6 innings. Pedro Ramos earned his 6th save. Chris Short(4-8) absorbed the loss. He gave up 5 hits and 8 walks in 6 and 2/3 innings.
