The Los Angeles Dodgers had an easy time of it at Jack Murphy Stadium
defeating the San Diego Padres by a score of 11 to 2.

Los Angeles tallied 5 runs in the 2nd inning when they had 3 base hits.  The
big moment was provided by Len Matuszek who quieted the crowd when he
depressed the partisan hometown fans with a grand slam home run.  Los Angeles
finished with 12 hits in the victory.

Danny Darwin(11-4) went 3 innings allowing no runs for the victory. Joaquin
Andujar(7-11) took the loss.  He allowed 3 hits and 2 walks in 1 and 2/3
innings.
