Brook Jacoby smacked 2 homeruns and had 5 RBI as the Los Angeles Dodgers
defeated the Atlanta Braves by a score of 12 to 5 at Fulton Co.
Stadium.
Jacoby was unconscious all evening.  The Atlanta fans hated to see him
approaching the batter's box as he just kept delivering base hits! He lofted
a solo-blast 'downtown' in the 2nd inning, lined a one-base hit which scored
a run in the 3rd inning and rifled a three-run blast in the 5th inning.  Los
Angeles finished with 14 hits while Atlanta ended up with 10.
Orel Hershiser(2-2) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 6 innings. Pete
Smith(1-2) was the losing pitcher.  He was knocked around pretty good, giving
up 5 runs in 3 innings.
'I had good swings tonight,' Jacoby said, 'Everything felt right'.
