april 24 The Baltimore Orioles nipped the New York AL Yankees 5 to 4 at Memorial Stadium in a hard fought contest. Stu Miller(1-0) got the win with a nice relief outing. He allowed just 2 hits and no walks in 2 and 2/3 innings. Dick Hall, after tossing a perfect ninth, was credited with his 5th save. Jim Bouton(1-4) was the losing pitcher. Baltimore now has a record of 14-8. With the loss, the New York AL ballclub's record is 12-10.
