The Milwaukee Brewers easily topped the Minnesota Twins; the final score was 9

to 3.

Sid Bream enjoyed a fine evening at the plate.  He clubbed a solo home run in

the 3rd inning, lined a one-base hit bringing in two baserunners in the 4th

inning and doubled which plated a run in the 6th inning.  Overall Milwaukee

out-hit Minnesota 15 to 12. 

 

The winning pitcher was Bill Wegman(10-5) who allowed 3 runs in 7 innings.

Scott Erickson(9-5) was charged with the loss.  He was touched for 10 hits

and 2 walks in 4 innings. 

 

Milwaukee now has a record of 46-46.  With the loss Minnesota now has a record

of 50-45.

Twins in 10 innings 7 to 6 at County Stadium.
 
The score was knotted at 6 after nine innings.  Milwaukee won the game in the
10th inning.  Bill Spiers smacked a single.  Darryl Hamilton stepped up next
and he slapped a base-hit.  Hamilton then stole second base.  Rick Aguilera
then had one get away for a wild pitch giving Milwaukee the win and sending
the home town fans into a frenzy.  Milwaukee out-hit Minnesota for the game,
15 hits to 9.  
 
Dan Plesac(5-8) went 2 and 1/3 innings allowing no runs for the win. The
losing pitcher was Aguilera(3-1) in relief.  He allowed 3 hits and no walks
in 1/3 of an inning.

victory. McCaskill got help from Doug Henry who was credited with his 19th
save.  Kevin Tapani(10-9) was the losing pitcher.  He gave up 5 hits and 1
walk in 6 innings.

Jack Morris had an impressive outing at County Stadium as the Minnesota Twins
beat the Milwaukee Brewers in 10 innings 1 to 0.
 
The score was a scoreless tie after nine.  Finally, Minnesota prevailed in the
10th inning.  After an out was recorded, Scott Leius hit a bases-empty home
run.  Minnesota managed only 5 hits on the afternoon.  
 
The win went to Morris(11-8) who allowed no runs in 9 innings. Rick Aguilera
recorded the save, his 23rd.  Chris Bosio(11-8) was the loser.  He was stingy
with the baserunners, allowing just 5 hits and 1 walk in 9 and 1/3 innings.
