Vada Pinson jacked one out of the ballyard and had 3 RBI and Larry Jackson
tossed a fine 3 hitter as the blistering-hot Chicago NL Cubs defeated the San
Francisco Giants by the score of 11 to 2 at Wrigley Field.

Jackson(2-3) escaped virtually unscathed against the San Francisco hitters.
He surrendered only 3 hits and no walks in 9 innings. Chicago NL banged out
12 on the afternoon.

Orlando Pena(1-4) absorbed the loss. He allowed 3 homeruns in 5 innings of
work. 'Jackson just dominated us' losing pitcher Pena said. 'Hopefully we
can get to him the next time around'
