Previous message                 Next message Message #: 28642 Message from: Mark Simons Sent: Jul 2, 2013 Subject: Re: [SmileyList] please read and vote Please.  Sorry, but I run three leagues, and we have an off season that is about a month in duration (and we must have them completed before we can start our draft unlike Smiley).  We put a limit on the playoffs to be done giving the teams about 7 to 10 days to have them completed, and they're netplayed, even with the extra round of playoffs, either guys want to play in the playoffs or they don't.  I can't possibly see why we would want to have a short series even shorter.  Having a seven game series for the LCS and WS is the best way to determine who has the best team.  A five game series for the LCS isn't a true test, and adding two games isn't like it means the off season is going to last three months.   Besides, in this league, we've had the playoffs continuing even after the start of the next season, so let's not say that we can't move on with the next season until the playoffs are done.    From: mudcatmike@... The answer is 2 and they have been autoplayed the last 2 days.  If games get played in a timely fashion it won't make a difference but unless we put deadlines on each round, it could take forever to get games done.  Only reason baseball went to 7 games was to get more money. That is not a factor here. I was never a fan of the extra games (or the later starting times).
