Joel Horlen carried a no-hitter into the 7th inning as the Chicago AL White
Sox defeated the New York AL Yankees by the score of 7 to 0 at Comiskey
Park.

Albie Pearson had a big evening at the plate.  He cracked a two-run shot (his
1st of the season) in the 2nd inning and doubled bringing in two baserunners
in the 6th inning.  Chicago AL finished with 10 hits in the victory.

It was the 4th shutout of the year for Horlen(13-6).  The right-handed Horlen
lost his no-hit bid when Elston Howard singled with two outs in the 7th
inning.  Pedro Ramos(2-12) was hit with the loss.  He gave up 7 runs in 5 and
1/3 innings of work.

'He was moving it around and spotting it very well.' New York AL's manager
said.  Horlen pitched a great game. He deserves all the credit.'
