august 29 45,626 fans were treated to a fine game at Fenway Park as only one run separated the combatants at game's end. The Boston Red Sox won by the slimmest of margins, 4 to 3. Boston jumped on top to stay in the bottom of the 6th inning plating an isolated run utilizing 2 base hits. Dick Radatz was great in relief and recorded his 33rd save.
