I forgot to save game 1 so the box and pac files are included instead. game 1: John Valentin had to set a record(or at worse tie one) by tripling in his first 2 at bats of the season. After Gonzalez pulled a 6 on his 1-5 bp homer in the first, Valentin tripled and scored on a Vaughn single. Nixon singled, stole 2nd and went to third on a throwing error and scored on a Delgado grounder to tie the game in the bottom of the first. In the 3rd, Valentin had an rbi triple and scored on a sac fly but the Jays came right back with 2 of their own in the inning on a triple,walk,triple combo. Back to back doubles by Garciaparra and Jefferson put Boston up 1 in the 6th. Garciaparra had a 2 run single in the 7th to up the lead. The first 4 Jays reached in the bottom of the 7th to chase Gordon. Brandenburg came on and the first 3 batters rolled in his hittable 6 column. Somehow he managed to retire one of them. By that time Toronto had a 7-6 lead.  They added an insurance run in the 8th and won 8-6. The teams combined for 8 doubles and 5 triples. game 2: After a walk and hbp, Garciaparra had a 2 run triple as the Sox got off to a good start again. Toronto opened with a double,passed ball, single to cut the lead to 1 and tied it in the 3rd on a sac fly. Sprague tripled (seeing a pattern here yet) and scored on a sac fly and Alou had an rbi double in the 4th as Toronto took the lead. Garciaparra hit a 2 run homer in the 8th to tie the game. The Boston bullpen was called on and was just as effective (ie atrocious) as game 1. 3 singles (one a +error) and a couple walks later and Toronto was back up 2. Valentin's rbi single in the 9th put runners on the corner with one out but Boston couldn't get the tying run across as Toronto won 6-5. game 3: Clemens and Wakefield squared off in this one and it was a tight game the entire way. Toronto got a double and single to open the game (they wouldn't get another hit for 4 innings) to jump to a 1-0 lead. Grissom and Gonzalez had rbi singles in the 3rd as Boston took the lead. Green tripled and scored in the 6th to tie the game. Stayed that way until the 9th, when Garciaparra launched a 3 run homer to give Boston the 5-2 win. For the series Garciaparra hit both of Boston's homers, as well as a double and triple and drove in 10 of the Sox's 16 runs. After making 5 errors (and a .928 fielding %) in the first 2 games, Boston played solid d in game 3 and ended up at 50% on x plays and a .952 fielding % for the series.
