One run was the difference at Memorial Stadium as the Baltimore Orioles
defeated the ice-cold New York AL Yankees 3 to 2.

Baltimore tallied 2 runs in the bottom of the 4th inning.  The crucial at-bat
was provided by Russ Snyder who elicited a roar from the hometown fans when
he cracked a two-run shot (his 2nd of the season).  New York AL had a chance
in the 9th but they came up short.

Robin Roberts(3-3) was the winner allowing 2 runs in 8 innings. Roberts got
relief help from Dick Hall who gained credit for his 8th save.  Carl
Willey(1-4) suffered the loss.

The New York AL Yankees finally stopped their 7 slide with the victory and
nipped the Baltimore Orioles in 13 innings 4 to 3 at Memorial Stadium in a
hard fought contest.

The score was knotted at 3 after nine innings.  New York AL won the game in
the 13th inning.  After an out was recorded, Joe Pepitone stroked a one-base
hit.  Clete Boyer followed and he drew a walk.  Gino Cimoli then laced a
base-hit scoring the run.  New York AL managed 11 in their victory.

The victory was credited to Steve Hamilton(2-1) who went 2 innings, allowing
no runs. Dave McNally(1-1) took the loss in relief.  He allowed 2 hits and 1
