may 1 At Memorial Stadium the Baltimore Orioles outscored the ice-cold
New York AL Yankees 5 to 2. Baltimore jumped on top of New York AL in the bottom of the 2nd
inning scoring 2 runs on 2 hits. After an out was recorded, Billy Moran keyed the rally when he drew a walk. Gus Triandos came to the plate and hit a single. Pedro Ramos then laid down a sacrifice bunt. Luis Aparicio followed and he doubled scoring two teammates. Baltimore had 7 hits for the night. Ramos(2-1) went 6 innings allowing 1 run for the victory. Dick Hall
earned his 7th save. Stan Williams(0-1) was the loser. He pitched 6 innings giving up 6 hits and 5 walks.

Orioles defeated the ice-cold New York AL Yankees 3 to 2. Baltimore tallied 2 runs in the bottom of the 4th inning. The
crucial at-bat was provided by Russ Snyder who elicited a roar from the hometown fans when he cracked a two-run shot (his 2nd of the season). New York AL had a chance in the 9th but they came up short. Robin Roberts(3-3) was the winner allowing 2 runs in 8 innings.
Roberts got relief help from Dick Hall who gained credit for his 8th save. Carl Willey(1-4) suffered the loss.
