City A's 5 to 2.

New York AL jumped on top of Kansas City in the top of the 5th inning plating
an isolated run.  New York AL took care of Kansas City with no trouble in the
bottom of the 9th.

Ralph Terry(5-3) allowed 2 runs in 7 and 1/3 innings, and picked up the
victory. Hal Reniff recorded his 4th save.  The loss was charged to Dave
Wickersham(0-5).

The New York AL ballclub's record now stands at 19-18. Kansas City can't seem
to snap out of their recent 'funk'.  Now they have a miserable 0-10 record
over the last couple weeks.

Jim Bouton shutout Kansas City while allowing the New York AL bullpen a
day-off and Gino Cimoli had 2 base hits as the New York AL Yankees defeated
the slumping Kansas City A's by a score of 5 to 0 at Municipal
Stadium.

Bouton(3-2) was indeed brilliant as he hand-cuffed the Kansas City offense.
He allowed just 4 hits and 3 walks in 9 innings reducing his ERA from 4.75 to
4.06.  New York AL managed 9 in their victory.

Billy O'Dell(2-6) absorbed the loss.  He allowed 6 hits and 1 walk in 6
innings.
