Left fielder Marty Cordova smacked 2 homeruns at UMAX Coliseum where the Minnesota Twins beat the Oakland A's by the score of 7 to 3.
Cordova had a good evening at the plate. He launched a rocket-shot out of the park for a Grand Slam homerun in the 4th inning and smashed a solo-shot out of the park in the 8th inning. Oakland out-hit Minnesota 11 to 8, but Minnesota ended up with more runs.
Brad Radke(3-12) got credit for the victory, pitching 6 and 2/3 innings and allowing 3 runs. Tom Candiotti(8-6) was hit with the loss. He pitched 7 and 2/3 innings allowing 7 hits and 3 walks.

Lawton enjoyed a fine day at the plate. He hit a single knocking in a run in the 2nd inning, lofted a three-run 'big-fly' in the 4th inning and laced a base-knock scoring two baserunners in the 9th inning. Oakland was out-hit by Minnesota, 12 hits to 6.
