AUGUST 11 Tom Tresh lofted one into the 'cheap seats' as the New York AL Yankees outscored the Minnesota Twins 4 to 2. Ralph Terry(16-9) delivered a fine performance for New York AL. He went 8 and 1/3 innings surrendering 6 hits and 2 walks. New York AL had 12 hits for the night while Minnesota had 6. Terry got help from Hal Reniff who earned his 18th save. Jim Kaat(0-8) ended up with the loss. He was touched for 9 hits and 2 walks in 6 innings. With this win, New York AL has a 69-59 record. They have been 6-4 lately. With the loss, the Minnesota ballclub's record is 61-67.
