AUGUST 29 Phil Regan(8-8) and Ralph Terry(20-10) locked horns in a pitcher's
duel with Regan and the Baltimore Orioles coming out on top of the New York AL Yankees 4 to 0. New York AL surrendered all of the runs Baltimore needed in the 2nd
inning scoring 4 runners on 4 hits. The early run support proved sufficient for Regan and Baltimore. That was all the run support Regan required. Neither team managed to score after the 2nd inning. Dick Drott recorded the save, his 3rd.

inning. After an out was recorded, Jackie Brandt started the attack as he delivered a solo blast (his 13th of the season). Robin Roberts came next and he drew a walk. Luis Aparicio then doubled. Al Downing then had one get away for a wild pitch plating another run. Chuck Hinton stepped into the box and hit a sacrifice fly scoring the final run of the inning. The early run support proved sufficient for Roberts(14-13) and Baltimore. That was all the run support Roberts required. Baltimore had only 6 hits for the afternoon.
