Maxwell made sure the Chicago AL fans enjoyed themselves. He hit a single in the 4th inning, doubled which scored a run in the 5th inning and lost the ball over the fence for three runs (his 2nd of the season) in the 8th inning. Chicago AL finished with 11 hits in the victory. Kralick(15-8) was credited with the shutout. The left-handed Kralick lost his no-hit bid when Clete Boyer singled with nobody out in the 6th inning. Stan Williams(4-9) was the losing pitcher. He allowed Chicago AL 4 runs in 3 and 1/3 innings of work. 'When Kralick is on like that it is a tough game to play, no doubt about it,' New York AL's manager said. 'He always pitches well against us.'
