Jim Wynn rocketed 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI at Memorial Stadium as the
Baltimore Orioles beat the New York AL Yankees 6 to 1.

The Baltimore fans enjoyed the offense provided by Wynn.  He cracked a solo
homerun in the 2nd inning, delivered a single in the 3rd inning and smashed a
two-run homer (his 5th of the season) in the 7th inning.  Baltimore had 12
hits overall, while New York AL had 6.

The victory went to Tom Phoebus(3-1) who went 5 and 2/3 innings, allowing 1
run. Fritz Peterson(0-2) was tagged with the loss.  The Baltimore ballclub's
record now stands at a division leading 11-4.  With the loss, New York AL has
a record of 3-7 lately, 3-12, worst in the division overall.

Brooks Robinson homered and had 5 RBI and Gene Brabender was able to finish
what he started and was credited with a complete game at Memorial Stadium as
the Baltimore Orioles beat the reeling New York AL Yankees 8 to 4.

Robinson helped send the fans home happy.  He lofted a three-run 'big-fly'
(his 4th of the season) in the 1st inning and banged out a single plating two
runs in the 8th inning.  Baltimore finished with 9 hits in the victory.

Brabender(1-0) picked up the complete game victory, allowing 4 runs. Fred
Talbot(1-3) took the loss.  He pitched 6 and 1/3 innings giving up 5 hits and
4 walks.

Baltimore now has a record of a division leading 14-4.  New York AL can't seem
to snap out of their recent 'funk'.  Now they have a miserable 2-8 record
over the last couple weeks.
