MAY 8 The Kansas City A's defeated the New York AL Yankees by a score of 6 to 3 at Municipal Stadium. Kansas City took the lead for keeps in the 3rd inning scoring a single run on 2 hits. That early scoring was all that Hal Brown(3-3) needed. New York AL was out-hit by Kansas City, 10 hits to 7. Frank Funk was credited with his 4th save. Ralph Terry(2-4) was tagged with the loss.
