MAY 18 In a dramatic ending at Memorial Colisuem the Los Angeles Dodgers won in their last at-bat beating the New York AL Yankees by the count of 5 to 3. Los Angeles came up with the deciding runs in the 9th inning with 2 runs on 3 hits. Willie Tasby led off and started the rally when he slapped a base-hit. Joey Amalfitano was next and he doubled. John Orsino then blasted a two-run home run (his 2nd of the season) giving Los Angeles the win much to the delight of the home town crowd. For the game Los Angeles out-hit New York AL 10 to 4. Jack Baldschun(2-3) was the winner allowing no runs in 1 inning. Luis Arroyo(0-3) took the loss in relief. He surrendered 2 runs and 3 hits in 1 and 1/3 innings.
