Sorry you took it that way. I was just pointing out, using your Santo example, that teams know going in when they make a deal how long they will need to keep the player. So they need to take that into account when they make their original deal. And if it isn't worth keeping him it in the long run then maybe a manager might have 2nd thoughts before the original deal.

have Santo, I used his example because he was all I
could think off of my team at this point, so just in
case some owners think this is just some selfish thing
